After part one of the Terror Special, several people asked how could mass paramilitary violence happen? How could such violence have been tolerated by the authorities?
And after the current event report, people asked “is it Antifa?”
#1 How was the paramilitary violence in Germany tolerated?
In part one I simply stated it as a fact, and left the reasons for it as too complicated to tackle. It is complicated in a lot of ways, but on a certain level it's actually quite simple. This is as short an explanation as I can make:
How did Great Britain come into existence? People fighting. How did France come into existence? People fighting. How did the United States come into existence? People fighting. Etc... people fighting.
In 1850 the United States had been a Democratic Republic for three quarters of a century. Great Britain was an Empire. France was an Empire. Etc..
Germany? Germany didn't even exist. There was no country, only a Germanic people with a common language, and they had been part of other empires. In 1850, Germany was made up of small kingdoms and duchies. German unification didn't happen until 1871 and that was in the form of a monarchy, an extension of the existing European monarchies. They got a country and a King, aka the Kaiser.
Instability continued but they managed to keep it together. Internal and external threats still existed, but a unified Germany grew very quickly. By the turn of the century they were industrialized and they had a strong and growing culture of Science and Engineering.
Skip forward to 1913 and Germany had built a vast Army; a million plus men, transports, vehicles, armored cars, massive artillery, airplanes, and U-boats. They had a new sense of German Pride, mixed with old fears, and old enemies.
World War One happens, the initial German successes are huge, then the stalemate sets in, unrest at home escalates, there is a military revolt, and then a revolution. Germany is back in chaos, but this is a new chaos because now you've got thousands and thousands of Veteran soldiers and even though you lost the war and had to destroy a lot of your war materials you still have the technology, and a lot of equipment.
Within such chaos the first paramilitary group was formed, the Freikorps. The post revolution republic even used the Freikorps. As things got worse from 1929 into the 30s there just was not a stable government to stop it.
The simple answer: a tradition of fighting plus industrial military power plus instability. The mindset was something like this:
“Will a Republic actually work? Let's go back to a Monarchy. No, we need to stop capitalism. No, we need to stop Marxism. Wait, you know it's the Jews fault right?”
Thank God we here in the US have held on to our Republic. Take a look around at the violence. Can we keep it?
#2 Was that letter from Antifa?
I don’t know! I added this edit to my post:
Please note that I just asked you to be able to recognize the symbols. I'm not saying that this is the work of Antifa. I have no idea who did it, and I'm sure none of my readers are in any position to know either.
Could it be real? Yes, I think it could. Could it be a false flag? Yes, I think it could be a false flag. Could be intentionally designed to look like a false flag? Yes, I think it could. We don't know, so suspicion flows in multiple directions, and that could be exactly the perpetrators intention.
I would need more to go on before I could even venture a guess. Beware of anyone trying to tell you definitively what it is without strong evidence.
Do understand that it is designed to stir the pot.
Regardless of who sent it the objective is probably the same: division, strife, finger-pointing, fear, anger… chaos. Dangerous chaos. These things are connected. The forces that ended the German Republic and started WW2 could happen to us too.
Part Two is coming Thursday! See you then.
